Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween Pictures, Comments, Images, Graphics

Rustling leaves, whispering winds,
excitement is in the air.
It must be the time for Halloween
- there's magic everywhere.

It’s our night to come out and play;
Shake a busted hip and then sashayed towards the dance floor,
Grab yourself a partner by the arm,
When it fails don’t be alarm.

We’re creepy crew but fun-lovin’ too!
Just Kick-up your heels — Did someone yell boo?

Straight Talk on Android Phones

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Christmas is in the air. The malls are sprouting with different sales product. Last Sunday, I went to the malls for a gadget sale especially a smart phone with a smart plan.  The power of Android phones, at only $45/month for unlimited use. It is an amazing smart phone: touch screen phones, and app capable phones with features like voice navigation, camera, video recorder, music player, instant messaging, and Bluetooth®. All the apps and games you need is here. Imagine unlimited calls, text, picture messaging and web for a whole year, for only $499.00! The 411 calls are included at no extra charge.

I am talking about Straight Talk's “All You Need Plan” meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data. Honestly, I love the idea that I feel richer with Straight Talk because I cut my cell phone bill in half. Feel Richer with Android even more, you have to be crazy to be on a contract these days when you can get everything you need without one.

For more information on what these phones offer, please check out these YouTube videos:

I Dream of A Past that Broke My Heart

Photo not mine
One late afternoon, while sleeping beside my baby, I'm in a dreamland. It's not a fantasy where a princess meet her prince. It is a dream of my past relationship. I guess, you wonder what I am talking about but if you read between the lines, you'll understand.

I have a past relationship that lasted for 15 years. Within that period, I thought the man will never look for a third-party relationship, again. I use my heart instead of my head. Well, most of the time. I never listened even if he's named as the "Battalion Playboy". But, I was wrong! He had a relationship with a 14-year old teen girl.  Three forecaster told me that he had a relationship with another girl, but I am not listening. I pretend to believe.

Yes, our relationship starts to shake from small arguments that becomes a heated one. That little arguments made me wonder why. One of my neighbors knew about it. His cousin's wife knew about it, too. The most painful part is my brother and his family knew about it. The teen girl worked in my brother's house as a helper. I am not sure if my parents knew it too. I am the ONLY one who doesn't know about it.I  knew all about it in my mother's wake last 2008. We separate year 2006 by creating an alibi and arrived here in Manila. Fortunately, I found work and another man. I promised myself, that I'll never return to him.  I think I am naïve or just overlook his movements. I'm busy with my work in an internet shop. That's in the province. My job's affected and I lost it. It's a long story to tell.

As a woman, I believe in intuition. We can sense but I am blind to see the real thing. But, I always dream of a teen girl with the man in my previous relationship. In that dream, I' m battling with a dragon helplessly. While, they are sitting together and looking at me, laughing. When I woke up, I asked why there's no help.

Now, I build a new life together with the new man in my life and our son. But, I dream, again, of the past. I saw this teen girl vividly with a man. I am not sure if that man is the same man I left or the man in my life now. In my dream, I feel the pain and cried, "Not again!. This is my second chance, please don't take it from me!"

Is the past, haunting me? Why am I dreaming this, again?

Roll Over, Baby Chrizs

My son and I both played around in his hospital bed. I would tickle him or sing ABC song. Sometimes, I lay him on the bed and watch him play (e.g. playing bubbles by blowing his lips). On the fourth day in the hospital, I'm watching television while Baby Chrizs play, "Grab a cloth" and tug it with his hands and feet on the bed. Suddenly, I wonder why I hear squeals of delight.

When I look at him, I'm surprised to see my son on his tummy, looking and smiling at me. He looks so happy from rolling over on his own. Oh, I am so proud and clapped my hands. It's his first to roll and stay on his tummy.

An Astroboy in the Hospital

Amid the barrage of injections for pneumonia, Baby Chrizs is very active and strong. His laughter is injectable to my worries. Because of his aliveness, he would bang his right hand (with i-v) into his right hip. That's his way of expressing his delight. Until we noticed that there is a blood inside the catheter in the back of his palm. We called the nurse who informed us that the needle was dislocated. So, they will transfer the insertion in the right foot. Oh gee, another prick in my baby's foot.

His right foot was inserted with another IV. It was not individually wrapped in steel. Instead, it was wrapped with a diaper. In case, he would rub both sides or kick his feet.

There's my little Astroboy watching his mama taking his photos.

Hospital Days with Baby Chrizs

Few days ago, Baby Chrizs had a runny nose, cough and fever. I gave him a paracetamol drops for his fever. After a day, his fever did not subside with a temperature of 38.5°C. His appetite for milk, lessen and eat less on cereals. Immediately, I brought him to the hospital. He's admitted for pneumonia and checked for possible dengue. Fortunately, its negative but we found out that his red blood cells is lower than his white. The doctor has given him Ferlin drops that has Iron and Vitamin B Complex. Also, the doctor had given him three injectable antibiotics. Take a look at the photos:

(1) One skin patch test for allergies on his right arm.

(2) Two skin-patch on his left arm

He got four injections for one night including the Iv. He cried because of the pain. Even if the nurse will only touch his arm to check on the test patch, still he cries. Inside, I cried because he's just a baby and 7 months old. The injectable antibiotics made me worried, too. It's too strong for him. My heart sank but I have to, be strong for him and face it.

Are We Safe in Odesk?

Today, I opened my inbox and saw one email of a certain Hogan Conor who sent me a tracking number. I immediately opened it and found that it was one of the spam emails of UPS. A fake email, I should say. When I hover it, it shows another link.

But when my eyes lay on the email address, my heart beat faster.

The email he used is my Odesk email. Immediately, a question pop into my mind, "Are We Safe in Odesk?".  How about the email/card number used for transacting payment? There are a lot of workers from Odesk. I don't know if they received this kind of email.

I've been a member in Odesk for years but I'm not an active member. I will take an exam first to make my application for a job unlimited. This is the first time to receive a spam email from them. Will it be possible?

Tinkering With A New Template

Dearest fellas,

Don't be surprised if you visit my blog in different templates. Every now and then, I'm changing and experimenting different templates I found on the internet. Most of the time, I am tinkering blog designs, reading e-how resources from the internet. I am not a techie and had 2-4 hours online because of my mommy duties. It's a bit difficult to juggle all the things you want to do online but ends up with insufficient time. Don't worry if you can't find the widgets or links, you've been looking for. The pages are there but keep the widgets code in my notepad. You'll see it back when I'm finished.

I have four blogs now. Yes, templates comes first and the number one thing for me to do. I'm finished with only one blog except the slider. Do you know how to install it? Would you mind helping me out? :D It's one load taken off my back from reading online resources. I love the slider in my blog. But I don't know to work on it unless I have the information from the internet.  Well, hop in and visit Earn Online with Mom.

RCBC Phishing Email Attacks

I received an email about an Account Suspension/Security Reason from 'RCBC'. It says that RCBC will disable my account for security reasons. So, I have to reactivate it NOW by clicking a given link.

Hover your mouse to the link for activation. Attach is a secret link to a fake RCBC site.

Now, I click the reply button to see the email of the sender. Please note all the red circles.

When I check the RCBC website and look what I found out. A marquee (moving text) warning their customers of the phishing attacks.

Be  Careful! When you log in your username and password especially in an online banking. You'll never know, it's a wrong link. As for me, I deleted it and did not bother to click it but share it with you. Why? because I have no account in any bank! It was closed after I lost my work.

Updating plus 2 New Blogs

Hi folks! Do not be surprise if my post is only one or two a week. I'll be updating my blog posts and widgets. Earn Online has a lot of contests that are closed. So, I will update that post. Maybe rearrange the widgets or delete one of them. Also, I'm looking for a new template for blogspot. Not again! Yea, I can hear it, but what will you do if it's a free template? Only the browsing of free templates takes time and difficult.

On the other hand, I have two blogs in which I won from a raffle! I talked about the new blog on Earn Online but will not keep mum about the second. Both, these blogs has no other post except Hello World . Both needs a Free template for Wordpress. Another thing is I have to travel to Cavite to bring a bag full of cards to post.

So stay tune!

When Typhoon Strikes

Last Tuesday, I was updating my status to, "Ang lakas ng ulan at hangin... waaaa.. wag sana mawala ang kuryente, pleaseeee" which means "the rain and wind are strong... waaa... I hope the lights will not go out". But after more or less than 30 minutes, lights went off. I didn't move from where I sat because I am carrying my baby who was sleeping that time. My husband use the beam from his cellphone to check on the customers computer usage. Good thing, aside from the computer, we manually record and check their time.

After a few minutes, the hospital's generator was up. We can only use one light and an electric fan. It's okay for us, at least, we have a light to move around. When the customer's gone, my husband swept and mop the floor. Then, he brought out the foam for us to sleep in the middle, among the computers. We have no choice, since our room is totally dark.

I placed my baby in the foam who was asleep and my husband Chris, settled himself on the other side with a mat. I can't sleep early so, I watched the two boys in my life who are in dreamland. After a few minutes, I feel bored sitting and doing nothing. So, I brought out 2 boxes of clothing to fold to pass the time.

It's a chore that makes me lazy when computer time eats me. I'm glad the two boys are asleep and no electricity. I can focus and finish this one chore.

Baby Chrizs 6 months Milestone

This is my entry to the Week 16 of the Techie She Lucky Blogger Weekly Giveaways. This week’s prize is $10 paypal credits from Mel Cole of The Jolly Toes.

He's 6 months and 2 weeks old. I have seen his firsts and milestone in which every mom awaits. Now, he's showing his jolly side like shrieking and an infectious laughter. When his godfather played and pretend he did not see him, he would look at him and squeal with delight. He remembers the people closed to him.

If I place him in bed with his favorite bolster and furry friends, he's starting to play with his hands and babbled. He is so eager to play that he would include his feet to touch the bolster. Gee, I forgot to take a photo of him playing with both his hands and feet. My, my! LIttle Baby has a long tongue. His father and godfather were laughing when he showed them his tongue. Guess, he's playing and discovering things through his tongue, especially that he starts eating his first food.

How to Block Emails in Yahoo!

Sometimes, its annoying to receive spam/scam emails, hate emails from persons you barely know. You want to stop receiving their emails. Here's a guide on how to block an email especially in Yahoo! Below, is a step by step guide with screenshots. FYI, I'm using the new email version Yahoo!

First, log on to your Yahoo email. Then, in the upper left, next to SIGN-OUT, Click OPTIONS then choose MAIL OPTIONS (circled in red) and CLICK IT.

It's a step-by-step guide as shown in the photo below. So, it'll be easy for you to follow.

In MAIL OPTIONS tab, click (1)SPAM on the left panel as shown. After clicking it, there are to options to choose. These are (a) SPAMGUARD: Usually, these are scam emails and advertisements who are phishing important details about you. (b) Blocked Email Address: Emails from people you know but hate or from someone you don't want to receive/read in your inbox. So, you want that email "from someone" blocked.
To blocked the email, (2) TYPE the email address in the text box. When you're done, (3) CLICK the Add Button. You can block at least 500 email address! That's a lot,  huh! After you click the add button, you will see it below the text box. It's right there in a rectangular-shape box in which I hide 3 emails to keep their identity . Now that you see the email you want to block in the box, (4) CLICK save changes button, above the word SPAM.

There you go! I hope this will help you out in blocking "unwanted" emails.

The Benefits of Straight Talk Plans

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Lately, I have a problem with my cell phone bills because of its surcharges. When my friend visited me, I told her about it. Then, she suggested about an Android on Straight Talk and explains how you'll feel richer with it. Well, I love that idea I would be richer with Straight Talk because it cut my cell phone bill in half. You have to be crazy to be on contract these days when you can get everything you need without one. Just imagine the  Hook, line and sinker and the amount of money when you switch to Straight Talk. I love spending the extra money on my baby's clothes and toys.

Boy, I am so glad I shared my dilemma with my friend. Now, I am so happy because there are no contracts, no surprise bills and no credit checks. But, great nationwide coverage and excellent reception/connectivity. Finally, Straight Talk only uses trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung.

So, switch to Straight Talk and enjoyed their Monthly Plans as much as I do. It has "All You Need Plan" meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 mb web data. Unlimited Monthly service is only $45, includes calls, text, picture messaging and web. Imagine unlimited calls, text, picture messaging and web for a whole year, for only $499. It includes 411 calls with no extra charge. It is free from activation, reactivation and termination fees.

I might as well Call a friend with their international long distance services. Straight Talk International Long Distance Service is a flexible prepaid calling services that enables me to make international calls from my home, cell or office phone at low rates. My husband used a reconditioned phone that costs $10 with camera, mp3 player, mobile web access and blue tooth capability. Great for young users as well as adults.

Everything you need is here. For further information on what these phones offer, please check this out.

Baby's Gender

My baby's gender is always an issue, everyday. You can hear their comments like, "Ayaw pag-ingon ana kay bayot na!". It means, "Do not do that because it's Gay!" (referring) to the third sex. My baby has actions through the use of his hands that moves like a Gay.

As a mother, I want to shout and prove it. He's a baby and does not know what his doing. As a parent, who wants it? Please, don't mislead me as I don't have anything about the third sex generation. I just feel irritated and pissed off by the comments everyday.

Now, if that happens, it's up to me as a parent on what's the best thing to do. All I know is I love him very much and will accept whoever he is.

Happy 6-month Birthday, Baby Chrizs!

Today, my baby is 6 months old. My plan is to celebrate it or take home our favorite Yoshinoya's meal's, from my winnings. Unfortunately, he had a fever and  "halak" (gargling sound in the throat). So, my husband and I decide to cook pansit luglug on his 6-months birthday for longer life.

This photo isn't mine.
Since, mommy can not go and leave you! Here's a virtual cake for you, honey.

Happy 6th-month birthday!

Congratulations, Ms Shamcey Supsup

Congratulations Ms. Shamcey Supsup for winning 3rd Place in the recent Ms. Universe 2011 beauty pageant. You have made us, Filipinos proud again. That's another big achievement for the Philippines. We are so proud of you.

Shamcey Supsup is not your ordinary next door girl. She was born on May 16, 1986 in Iligan City. But her family moved and lived in General Santos City. Amid her beauty lies a very intelligent woman who graduated as Salutatorian in Makati High School. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Architecture in University of the Philippines and ranked no. 1 in Philippine Architectural Board Examination 2010.

This Question and Answer part, I know, will linger for a time in Filipino's mind.

Question (American Actress Vivica Fox):

"Would you change your religious beliefs to marry the person that you love? Why or why not?

Answer (Shamcey Supsup):
"If I would have to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love. Because the first person that I love is God, who created me and I have my faith, my principles and this is what makes me who I am and if that person loves me he should love my God too. Thank you.”

Lucky Day

As a first time mom, it is difficult to leave my baby to my husband who oversees an internet shop. Second, it's Saturday, peak day where there'll be a lot of customers. Yet, he allowed me to go. It's 12 noon and I'm waiting for him to wake up until 2pm. I know, it'll be a tiring day, that's why I allow him to get more sleep. Besides, he sleeps very late at 4 - 5am especially if there's a broken computer that he needs to reformat.

While waiting, a staff nurse told me that I had a package in the cashier's office. Excited but, the cashier did not arrive yet, so I told her that I'll take a peak. It turned out, the package was on top of the cashier's table near the window with a big hole. I can't stop, so, I let my hand slide in and took the package. ehek

The mail came from Sakuraeya Club winnings in promoting Fan page in Facebook. Now, my little white dog has a friend. I put it, together with another cutie dog, on top of the computer monitor.

After that, a staff approached me and asked for my last name! I stand up and he told me that LBC van arrived and looking for Valenzuela. I used two last name and they didn't know that.

Here's what I got, LBC package from sis Eidra - Sansan Lipstick I won from her contest. Thank you so much.

Ghost Hunt Episode "Doll House"

I feel sleepy  watching the i-net shop while my son and husband have a mid-morning catch of sleep. So, I browse youtube for anime episodes and found "Ghost Hunt". This anime is not that scary and it got me glued on my seat. The main character is a paranormal researcher who is a poltergeist. A poltergeist is not a monster but a person who can move objects around him using the power of his mind. But that is not what I am going to share with you. It is the 4th to  a 6th episode that had moved me to tears. Yes, tears easily dropped into my cheeks while watching it.

The 4th to a 6th episode is the second file of Ghost hunt anime. The title of this episode is "Doll House" in which a little girl was talking to her doll. But then they find it weird when the little girl defends and listens to what her doll says. The thing is that the girl only hears what her doll says. The doll is own by a ghost-mom who haunts for her child.

The ghost mom killed herself when she couldn't bear the thought of losing her one and only little daughter. Her daughter was either taken by a stranger or drowned near a river.

In the end, Naru, the ghost hunter, decide to give back her little daughter by showing a script in a wood carved and formed like the little child. Then throw it upwards. And told her to get her daughter and leave the place.

Suddenly, the wood turned into a golden yellow of a child who giggles with arms spread running for her mother's hug.

When the ghost mom saw it, her face was changed from gloomy to a surprised mom longing for her child and spread her arms to catch her.

When the ghost touched her child, she was changed into a shining gold yellow that pertains to happiness and satisfaction; hug her child tightly and vanished. Then, the ghosts of little children she took were laughing all vanished.

Deep Gratitude

As I get older, I understand that people would come and go out of your life. Little did they know, when they cross my path and touch my life, they left a mark that I saved in my heart. It is touch by sharing ideas and giving me opportunity to drive on. I am really thankful of what they share into my life, though. Sometimes, I keep quiet and lost them without knowing what they have left. It will never happen again, as I am going to post this gratitude in my heart.

I have to say it with my deepest gratitude to Mhel who shared her knowledge in online income. Also, for giving me a short-term job where I needed and loved most. You're the answer to my prayer. I am very, very thankful.

I know, I blog and still consider myself a newbie. I have a lot to learn and will not stop from learning more. Thanks to you Ms. Mhel Ignacio. Kudos!

An Answered Prayer

Everyday, especially when I woke up in the mid-morning, I always pray and ask God, what to do? My baby is growing up fast. He sleeps in his hammock. Sometimes, he slides and both his legs dangle in the hammock still sleeping. As a mother, it worries me, seeing my son in that situation. That's one reason why I need a crib for my baby. But how? Where will I get the money to buy a crib? His dad's salary isn't enough. I asked God for guidance because I do not know what to do.

Then, one day a blogger friend posted in her Facebook that she need people to help her with a Data Entry Task. That's an opportunity! I replied even if I thought that it's closed. She accepted it. Gosh, it made me very happy. It's a short-term task but then it's okay for me because I am in need to save for my son's crib.

Paypal Verification

An unverified account of PayPal has a withdrawal limit of $500 only. That's personal account because I have no idea for the premier account. I heard about how to verify PayPal and its instruction. Also, I read from online resources about withdrawals from PayPal to Philippine bank. I thought I understand the process. My thoughts, betray me and I laughed about it. I thought all along that you can verify your PayPal account with the Philippine banks. That is wrong. Sorry to those who asked me, I am wrong.

Open an EON Debit Card in Union Bank Philippines
It is a debit card and bank account in one. As far as I know, that's the only BANK allowed by PayPal to verify aside from credit cards. How to verify PayPal? Check this website, "Make Money Online: Verify Your PayPal Account Using Unionbank EON". Just make sure that all the information entered in EON Debit card is the same information you entered on PayPal.You can also use Smart Money Card to verify PayPal. I will not recommend it unless you are an active smart money card user. Smart Money card expires for prepaid accounts. For those interested, click this: Make Money Online: Verify Your Account Using Smart Money.

After your PayPal's verification, you can now transfer and withdraw PayPal amount to your bank account. The process? Check this website: "Pinoy Money TalkWithdraw PayPal to Bank Accounts in the Philippines".

For Your Eyes Only

My eyes are not good this past days. It tends to feel heavy after staring at the computer for 3 - 4 hours. It makes me drowsy and a little swooning because of sleepiness.. It seems I am lack of sleep for a day or two. If I take a sleep, I end up waking at 7am with the computer running. I have a cup of coffee on the left and bottled water on my right. But, still, I feel drowsy even as of this writing. Oh, what's happening with my eyes? Do you know?

Sinusitis Attacks

Yes, I am not feeling well since, yesterday. I have runny nose and headache. When that triggers, it's sinusitis. I'm sneezing most of the time. As of this moment, I usually stop and cross my arms because I am feeling cold. I know I need a rest, like sleeping the whole day is heavenly. I will only stop if my head aches and my eyes can no longer bear to read the lines on the screen.

What worries me the most is my son. If I have a fever, I can not hold or carry him in my arms. My husband has it, too. He sneeze or we both sneeze while we carry our son. That is not good.

I can feel the heat rising. Sorry, I have to stop. I have to get my medicines.

August Is My Lucky Month

August is a lucky month for me because I won several giveaways.

Sakuraeya's Club, a Fan Page in Facebook for contest, updates, promos and freebies -  I'm the 2nd winner of promoting her fan page but I have no idea what I won. ahahaha.

Green Dress

I'm wandering around the internet for a green dress especially for a big and "curvacious" body like mine. No fretting, please! There's no special event to attend, I'm only dreaming :) and what if it will suddenly happen? I don't like to panic if someone will invite me into their wedding with nothing to wear on their special day.

Photo is not mine
And I found it! It's an Ella Moss V-Neck Green Dress. I think this one suits me. I am not into spaghetti style straps and sleeveless kind of girl. The lantern sleeves are okay with a v neck showing a little of your treasure.

While in the back has V-shaped showing some skin in your back aligned with ruffles. Actually this dress costs $174. Calling for the seamstress out there!

I can imagine, myself,  wearing this dress, if only you invite me!

What Dot Com Domain I want to win and why?

This is a late entry for Ruby's DOT COM Domain with Hosting Giveaway because it will end on August 10. So, I have 2 days to complete one required task and that is commenting.

Now back to the question what dot com I want to win and why? Honestly, I want a domain for an article writing that requires a self-hosted domain. But then I changed my mind for the elementary and high school students who approached me. Now, I need help on this one because I am not familiar with the SEO thing. Can it be school assignments dot com or school projects dot com. I hope no one owns that dot com, yet. I hope that it's catchy and falls into the SEO thing.

As to why I want that domain. The reason relates to the dot com itself.  English is internet's universal language. But, what if the project and assignments are in Filipino? It is difficult for an elementary or high school students to find one Filipino language. Unless, they know how to translate through (again!) the use of internet and read between the lines. But, not all words translated to Tagalog is right. Like what happened yesterday: A mother approached me to searched for vegetables, what vitamins is in that vegetables and gardening tools. I found the answer through the Internet but it's in English. I told them to give me time to translate it, but they can't wait. Such customers but that's another story.

I want that domain to focus on elementary and high school projects and assignments translated into Tagalog. Of course, in my own words, though. I'm a copy cat, but the resources credit on every post.

I am hoping to win one of the dots. Of course, without the sponsors below, this giveaway, will not push through. A big and loud applause for them :D

Leaf Creations

I saw her on Facebook and I'm very impressed. Lucas Leaf Creations owned by April Lucas. She's a unique artist. A wife and a stay-at-home mom of 2, one 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old boy.

What impressed me the most is that she used a leaf for her creations. Yes, you heard it right. It's a leaf, a part of nature. According to her, "It is wonderful preserving the life of leaves that fade away, never see it again. I love that the leaves I choose live on forever". All her creations are one of a kind, handmade and "a kind imprints of nature being that the leaf is no longer usable after it has been cast".

Above is one example of her creations that I love. Isn't it wonderful? And to my imagination, "you look like a fairy with that awesome thing!".

If you want to see more of her creations, you can find and like her on Facebook: Lucas Leaf Creations or her Etsy Shop.

This is not a sponsored post! It is posted for my admiration of her creations.

It's night-time, the skies are roaring with thunder and lightning. It seems the team of unseen horse's hove's had created the clap of thunder! Mom was hugging me and trying to soothe me when suddenly a very loud lightning tears and light the skies. It made me shiver and I try to snuggle into my mom's body for cover.

Guess,  I had fallen asleep, alright! It's morning, I was awaken by my mother's shake. She told me to get up and bring a basket to my father. I can hear my father's whistle! It's a sign when he's calling us. Perhaps, papa found a lot of mushrooms near the Nipa (Nypa fruticans). So, I went running excitedly with a basket in one hand. When I arrived with the basket, I can see my father's smile. He told me to hold the basket for him while he picked up the mushrooms. I am happily holding the basket for him because Mama will cook it for mealtime - Mushroom soup! Yey!

Reminiscing good times during my childhood. It's small and yet the happiness it gave me was amazing.

When lightning strikes, I asked mom, "Will there be mushrooms, tomorrow?"

Tiki-tiki Plus for Baby

I feel intimidated when I hear them talking about the differences between my son's weight to my weight. Sometimes, they will baby talk and told him, "You are so small and your mommy is so big". Is that a comment to crush my soul? Yes, I'm one sensitive woman, though. I understand that it is a bully instead of a good criticism. I took it as a challenge. Yes, it is true that my baby is thin and small for a 5-month old. I look for baby products that are suited for him specifically for nutrition and the good appetite. I did not breastfeed him which I think that's one of the reason.

Anyway, my MIL suggested buying Tiki-Tiki drops for baby. Oh, yes, I almost forgot about Tiki-tiki. MIL is really supportive because she urged me to drop it in his mouth. I was in doubt and worried on how he will accept the taste. Fortunately, he did like it and lick it with his tongue. Then, I gave him water, after.

What’s your mythical personality?

I am fond of a fantasy world readings where elves, fairy's dwell in the mythical world. I found this in the news feeds on my Facebook from Cosmopolitan. Out of curiosity, I took the quiz and this is the result.

You are a GRIFFIN!

Honesty is the best policy, as far as you are concerned. You are honest to a fault and will oftentimes opt to tell a harsh truth rather than be gentle with a lie. In work as in your personal life, this earns you both enemies who hate your guts and friends who respect your opinion. Integrity is your hallmark—people know that when you say you’ll be there, you’ll be there. Your friends know they can come to you in good times or bad—and they know you’ll tell them the truth, whether they want to hear it or not.

While sincerity is a good thing, you can still give honest criticism in a way that won’t hurt the other person too much. Contrary to what you might think, many people know when they’re behaving badly or not doing well enough without your having to point it out—and your insistence on doing so can have others avoiding you. Be more circumspect about not saying anything if you can’t say anything good.

In your relationships, you like to have things ironed out from the very start. While your forthright approach may be intimidating to some, a strong and confident man will appreciate your getting to the heart of the matter. After all, once you’ve got the ground rules set, you can focus more on having fun and getting to know each other.

You would do well in a job where your iron will and adherence to principles can be put to good use—perhaps in law or even in politics. After all, with so many trapos taking advantage, we need someone who isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said, someone who will stand by her commitments to the people she serves.

Wow, what a copy and paste! Na, I was copying the result of the quiz what mythical personality I have! The result is so true! I give my honest opinion outright not knowing that the person is sensitive to it. Wish I can place a tape in my mouth. Whoops! I forgot to include the a link. Well, check late afternoon, if you want to know your mystical personality. This is for fun only.

Mother's Battle with Cervical Cancer

My mother's cause of death is cervical cancer. I would like to share it to you, what goes in and out of my mothers battle with cancer. I think, it is time for me to unload the pack of pain in my shoulders when she died.  My mother had undergone a lot of operations.

Her first operation started when she gave birth with my brother. It was caesarian.

This happened during my high school days, though. I can not remember exactly the year when this happened. I used to tag along when mother went to see a respected surgeon in Iligan City. He told us that mother should undergo an operation because a cyst is on top on her ovary. The doctor adds that it's good the cyst is on the top than inside the ovary. And so, mother took the operation. When the operation started, the doctor found out, aside from a cyst on top of her ovary, there's another one inside her ovary. So, he remove the ovary and took it out of her body. At the end of the operation, mother has only one ovary left. I cried when mother was in the hospital room. She was moaning and I pity her. I still remember what the doctor told me when he saw me crying. Don't worry, your mom have 20 years to live!

Mother is a hard-working woman. Even if she's prohibited from carrying heavy tasks, still she's had done it with ease.

Next, he had a surgical operation with a faith healer. I have no idea what happened because mother did not tell us. So, we all have zero knowledge on this part. We only knew it after the said operation. I asked how did it go? She told me that the faith healer used his finger, draws a line (that looks like slicing her skin to open without pain). Then used his hands to remove something out from her body. That I can not imagine but honestly, she regret it.

In 2007, I got a phone call from my mother. She's living in Butuan City while I'm staying and working in Manila. She informed me of the abnormal uterine bleeding. A doctor advised her for a dilatation and curettage. It is known as "raspa", a surgical procedure performed to get tissue samples; to stop prolonged bleeding or to remove small tumors. The result of the tissue scrapping is "moderately to poorly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma". (Happened on November 2007)

Squamous cell carcinoma is a distinct form of cancer. The doctor after knowing the result suggest another surgical procedure for mama. He suggested after one month of the previous curettage. In this surgical operation, he removed the ovary and fallopian tube. This means that mama has no ovary and no fallopian tube left in her reproductive system. The diagnostic results: Uterus has cystic endometrial atrophy, large cell non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma (again!). Ovary is fibrotic while the fallopian tube is chronic salpingitis, though. There was a remark that the surgical stage cannot be definitely assessed since the exocervix and vaginal cuff are NOT included.) Cervix was left in her womb, that is what I understand amid the medical terms used. I based all these from the medical report I have and filed. She's in stage three cervical cancer. This indicates that the cancer cells spread to the lower part of her vagina and pelvic.

I resigned from work and went home, middle of the year 2008, to take care of mom. When I saw her, she's thin. Her weigh decreases because she eat less, though. She walk slowly and complain the pain in her pelvic. Whenever she goes to the bathroom, she wails because of pain. She can not poo and pee immediately without enduring the pain. There's a bad smell after that. It's not the poo, it comes from her wetness - white fluid. Almoranas or hemorrhoid adds the pain she suffered from popo and pee. At first, mother used a pantiliner to change every time she feels the wetness. The wetness is a white fluid coming from her vagina. Then, she used napkin and lastly an adult diaper. At this time, mother was bedridden, though, she can still talk.

A neighbor suggests to bring my mother to the hospital. She doesn't looked good and pale. She cannot talked and her tongue is drawn inwards. We bring mother to the hospital. She recognized us in the emergency room and kept on asking the whereabouts of our little helper. But, when the medical staff brought her to the hospital room after an injection, she can not recognized us. A doctor told us to prepare ourselves anytime. It's stage 4 wherein the cancer cells spread out to the other organs inside her body. She wants us to bring mother home because she can not do anything at this stage. But mother wants to stay in the hospital instead of home. If only, I am financially capable, I'd obliged in her wish and wishes. So, we bring mother home and let her stay in my brother's room. It is wide and spacious with an aircon. At this time, mother doesn't like to eat. The doctor insert the ngt - a nasogastric tube used for feeding and administering drugs. A  nurse who is our neighbour, once in a while, visit my mom to check on her bp. I think mom had 8x inserts of ngt because she will removed it while I am sleeping. Yes, I slept with mom and I can not stand it when the assigned nurse inserted the ngt into his throat. She cried in pain. It's the only instrument/way to feed my mom with milk. I forgot the name of the milk but it's certainly for an adult. We changed her diaper every time she pee and poo. I observed that the fluid is not white, it's somewhat brown-red in color. The foul smell is gone.

My brother bought a television and placed it in the room. Mother loves to watch tv especially the issues of different local celebrities. I tell you, she's updated about it. Then one night, she started to shake and shiver. My brother thought that it was the aircon, so, he turned it off and went home to his wife. I was left alone in mother's room. I did not scream but watched and hugged my mom shivering from head to toe. I think that the cancer cells spread into his head. Her right hand is on top of my left leg. She calls my name and asked for my brother. She told me to let Jun oversee everything. I didn't know that she's dying.

Then morning came, it was sunday, mother died. When mother died, I regret it. I never knew that she's gone because I was watching tv until I saw her toe nails. It was gray.
