At the Market

A late post because I can not face the computer for a long time. Previously, it makes me dizzy.
And now, I am getting better.

On the third day, I went to the market to buy Dalandan fruit and something sour. I have tasteless buds. I bought (1) one liter of orange juice, 2 milk yogurts, and a distilled drinking water. Of course, the important thing is the fiber supplement.

There are only two pharmacies in the market area. But, I was disappointed because none knows about Dulcofiber. I even asked a replacement as long as it’s fiber. There was none. No one sells fibers in this place. They don’t even know about it. Good thing, one pharmacy sells DXN Lingzhi coffee. At least, out of the two, I have one. I bought only two coffee sachets because I want to taste it first.

I feel tired upon reaching my place. I asked beau to make a hot coffee for me using lingzhi. I smiled because beau likes it, so, we had one cup of coffee for two… lolz.

Now, I am in bed; it’s 5 in the morning and I am wide-awake. I don’t know what’s bothering me that made me sleepless. I am not sure if it’s the coffee. But, let’s see about it.

I changed position; my head was beside beau’s feet. Since I can not sleep; I playfully massage his feet and strung his knees like a guitar. I kept on doing it, not knowing it made me fall asleep. What a great dose of medicine! lolz.

Results after drinking a half cup of coffee:
  • dizziness is gone
  • queasy feeling is now 30% so, I am still careful
  • Now, I can eat more from half cup rice to one and a half cup of rice in morning and lunch time.
  • A runny nose showed up with sticky phlegm. I think this is the cause of tasteless buds.

I can stay on the computer from 20 minutes to one hour.

Dulco Fiber Supplement Powder

A late post because I can not face the computer for a long time. Previously, it makes me dizzy. And now, I am getting better.

On the second day, it’s still the same, though. I am careful of the amount I eat. Oh, boy! If you only knew, how I want to eat and put a lot of food in my mouth. But, that was scary because I’ll end up vomiting again. Gosh, if this is how pregnant women feel, it’s a real sacrifice! Now what am I thinking!!

Dulcofiber

The doctor is near, one-wall-block away. But, I choose to email friends and asked their opinions. Sad to say, no one replied. So, I thought, “gotta do what I always do”. Its like, “help yourself”.

It was evening, so I browsed the internet for a supplement that cleanses toxic out of the body. I found Dulcofiber supplement powder and DXN’s Lingzhi coffee. Dulcofiber is a fiber supplement powder that cleanses toxic out of the body. The other one is DXN’s Lingzhi coffee with Ganoderma that has a lot of benefits.

Morning Sickness but Not Pregnant

This is a late post. because I can not face the computer for a long time. It makes me dizzy. No worries, I am getting better now.

Some people thought I have it! That I am pregnant but I am not.

I was having nausea one afternoon after taking a late lunch. First, I thought, it’ll happened one time. Also, I thought it’s the result of taking late breakfast, lunch or dinner. But, then at 3:40 am, I feel hungry. This time, I am tasteless whatever food I desired to eat. So, my beau and I went out to buy sardines, coffee sachets and bread. Glad, there’s hot pan de sal available. We looked at the hospital kitchen and found food not eaten by nurses. I think they are on a diet. It’s a mongo with pork tidbits.

At 4am we started to eat, Beau was enjoying his pan de sal bites. I tried eating pan de sal and put some spread in it. Then, I ate rice and mongo. After eating, I drank a cup of coffee. But then after a sip, I feel dizzy and it seems I want to vomit. I did not reach the restroom and vomit in the plants outside the internet shop. I vomit all the food I ate. I perspired a lot. My perspiration is cold.

When it was time for me to sleep, I feel my world is revolving and my headaches then suddenly I vomit. Good thing, I have a big can inside the room. I tried to lay down again to no avail because I only feel queasy. This happened until morning.. I envied beau who have a good sleep and snoring.

Beau let me sleep the whole day. Thank you very much.

Controversy of Filipinos Picture-Taking in the Hostage Scene

Guess, after the so-called shame of the Q & A of Ms Venus Raj, here’s another controversy. This is an unashamed act and attitude of our Filipino people. I agree that Filipinos are fond of pictures and kept as souvenir or photos to remember by. But, sad to say, that this picture taking was done in front of the scene after the hostage crisis. While they are having fun taking pictures in front of the bus, some media or Chinese nationals were taking their pictures, also.

We know that in such events Chinese pays respect especially if one of their families was lost. For them, what had happened was a catastrophic thing. But, that is what they saw. I understand them because it’s there countrymen. If it happened to us, maybe, we will also react that way.

But, I want to make it clear that Mr. President (Philippines) has nothing to do with it. The twist and turn of events is beyond his and everyone’s expectation.

I found these photos with negative comments on this page: chinaSMACK. Tell me, is it proper?

I hope that these events will not ruin the relationship between Chinese and Filipinos.

The Yellow Dress

yellow dress
During grade school days, I remember that we were called one by one to read a story in front of the class. I was only in Grade I and reading stories was a practice on reading books and pronunciation. My teacher, Mrs. Cabigas, told me to read the story entitled, “Yellow Dress” and gave me a schedule when.

In the story, a young and poor girl who went to school without scrubbing or cleaning her face. Her clothes were dirty. The teacher saw her tattered clothes and unwashed face. Her teacher decided to give her a surprise because of her interests in going to school. The next day, the teacher gave her a yellow dress and told her to take a bath and scrub her face. And that is what the girl has done. To make the story short, the girl scrubbed herself and wear the yellow dress. All her neighbors were surprised and admire her new look. Her face shone with cleanliness and beautiful. When her neighbors saw it, they were inspired to clean up themselves and their surroundings. The girl wearing a yellow dress has become the community’s inspiration to clean their place. That’s wonderful, isn’t it?

My real life story is this because this happened at the same time. It happened before the scheduled story telling in front of the class: It’s a twist, actually. :)

My mother saw that I act like a “tomboy”. I am influenced by my four cousin's who are boys in Manila. We lived in the same house. My mother observed and tried to change me.

In school, we have an event that requires us to wear a dress. Do you know what my mother wants me to wear? A Yellow Dress! I hate wearing yellow dress because I am dark brown. It’s the result from swimming a lot in the river. The yellow dress has no sleeves but 2-spaghetti like straps. I am really against it and started to stomp my feet. Still my mother dressed me up. After dressing me up, I look at the mirror in the room and cried. I really am crying.. lolz… Mother came rushing and asked what happened. I cry and told her, “Ang pangit ko! Hindi bagay!” (I am ugly! The look doesn’t fit me!), while looking at the mirror and crying out loud. There stood a girl, dark and wearing a yellow dress with spaghetti straps. Well, Mama did not budge because she wants me to act and to walk like a lady.

Mother won! She did not change my dress for the whole day. Until now, I don’t hate the yellow dress, but I am not fond of wearing a dress. I hate sleeveless even short-sleeved and those spaghetti straps. If I have to wear a blouse with no strap, that’s okay as long as there is a coat.

Opinion: Bus Hostage-Taking by A Dismissed Policeman

As quoted from Yahoo News by Jim Gomez:

“MANILA, Philippines – A 12-hour hostage stand-off on a hijacked Philippine bus ended in bloodshed Monday, with officials saying at least seven Chinese tourists were dead along with the disgruntled ex-policeman who seized their vehicle in a bid to get his job back.

The crisis began when the dismissed policeman, Rolando Mendoza, 55, armed with a M16 rifle seized the busload of Hongkong tourists to demand his reinstatement in the force.

According to newspaper reports from 2008, he was among five officers who had been charged with robbery, extortion and grave threats after a Manila hotel chef filed a complaint alleging the policemen falsely accused him of using drugs to extort money.”

This is only my own opinion based on my understanding for what had happened after reading the whole story from Yahoo News.

Rolando Mendoza, a dismissed policeman is 55 years old. I think Rolando Mendoza is due for retirement based on his age. The age limit for retirement in the Philippines is 60 years old. Perhaps, he served the government police force more or less than 30 years in service. Whoever is dismissed from his job with less or more than 30 years in service will be unable to get his benefits. It means zero benefits.

I think that’s the reason why he decided to do a wrong decision to hijack a tourist bus. His decision for reinstatement was wrong that cost his life and life of the hostages. From what I know, after a year, he can file a reinstatement within the police force. When a policeman is reinstated, he can now file for retirement benefits within due process for the grievance of his case.

Again, this is only my own opinion and understanding.

What Is A Cougar?

I have never heard of this before until I have a chat in one dating sites. I am not looking but only chatting. To be honest, I told this foreign guy that I am living with a partner who is younger than me. Suddenly, he laughed and told me that, “Oh, you’re a cougar!”. The word is foreign, so I asked what it was. He told me that it’s a word for older women who are looking for younger men. That guy had irritated me for he kept on laughing.

I instantly searched for the word, “cougar”. Mr. Wikipedia wrote that a cougar is a puma, a mountain cat or a panther. It’s a solitary cat that stalks and ambushes its wide variety of prey. A male cougar hunts while a female cougar stays with her kittens for two years. But then I saw another meaning with Mr. Wikipedia. This time, it’s not under the word cougar, it’s about “Age disparity in Sexual Relationships”. From it, I read that:

“cougar is a slang word for a woman, 40 years of age or older, who pursues younger men, typically more than eight years her junior. The term is also commonly applied to women that are thirty or older. The origin of the word is debated; however, it is thought to have first appeared in print on the Canadian dating website Cougardate.com and has been used in TV series, advertising and film. The 2007 film Cougar Club was dedicated to the subject and in Spring 2009 TV Land aired a reality show called The Cougar. The sitcom Cougar Town explores the difficulty and stigma of many so-called "Cougars".
Now back to the guy, I’m chatting with: I told him, my understanding of a cougar is an older woman who frequents to bars and look for younger men. They are also financially stable and have its riches. How can I be related to a cougar? First of all:
  1. I am not a frequent bar visitor;
  2. I am unemployed;
  3. I am not financially stable, either;
  4. I have only one and same younger man who has a job;
  5. He was the one who bought the necessary things needed for both of us;
So, how can I be a cougar? So, I said, "I think you met a lot of older women who prefers younger men. You liked them but turned their back away from you because of  it." How can you meet a sane woman if you act that way? Your poor ego speaks.

Anyway, if there's a cougar or none, what does it make with our own life? Each one of us has it's own fault. As an adult, we have no right to pinpoint our finger on them. It's their life they lead. For the parents, of course, they do whatever they can to protect their children.

Have a Great Saturday Meme, everyone!

meme

     yahoo messenger, chatting.

2. Tell us who is you favorite non-family member to hang out with?
This question made me think hard, I did not go out lately after moving out from a boarding house almost a year ago. Most of the time, I face the computer and chat with some friends who are online in an internet shop. So, those are the people I hang-out most of the time: online friends and clients in an internet shop.

3. What was the last thing that happened to anger you?
When he denied and lied about the truth I saw/heard about him and the lady.

4. What was the last thing that you saw that was shocking to see?
a dead man lying in the emergency room when I passed by

5. What is your favorite thing to do on Saturday besides Saturday 9?
Going out with my boyfriend but it was changed because he has no reliever yet.

6. Have you had your summer vacation yet? If yes tell us about it. No

7. Pick out one of your cousins and tell us about them.
Jellah, she's the only one relative whom I always talked online. A mother of 3 girls, homemaker and a fashionista. Oh, she's very thrifty... hehe

8. Do you have any special plans for next week? none

9. At what age will you consider yourself old and why?
50 years old. It's 12 more years to go and I am not sure where I'll be on that age. Will I still be here, blogging or in another place without computer. That's why I make the most of it while I am still here amid what they were talking against me.

My Journey in The Blogosphere

Photo Credits: If you Give A Girl A Pen
This is always the thing that describes me: create an account and leave it behind. Oh no, not the messy things! I was referring to creating my first blog platform – Live Journal. It was created as a very personal diary. It is alive but not updated. I just leave it – stagnant. 2nd is the Multiply platform in which I have two accounts; One is a link to online resellers and suppliers while the second one is a personal diary. But then, I decided to delete the second and integrate some of the posts I’ve written there in blogger. So, I can focus only to one personal diary.

Writing in a different blogging platform is my only means to let go all my emotions and unload burdens. I did not think of it as a way to earn; I did not think of it that one day, it’ll help me with the tool in my life.

The new journey began in Manila for the second time: I face it alone and it was all negative, though. Job applications turned negative results, money was draining in my pockets and I end up washing clothes of my boarding housemates to put food right into my tummy. One online friend told me about family’s support because I was desperate to have a job. I didn’t respond but smile sourly. I wish, there was a family support, but there is NONE.

A Blog Collection of Philippines Film, Actors and Actresses, era 1960’s to 1980’s

I stumbled on this blog Video 48 while searching or googling photos of Julie Vega for my post here. In short I become his follower. I don't know about the blogger but all I know that this person is a He. :)

His blog contains a collection of films, photos of circa 60’s, 70’s and 80’s depending on an actor or actress stay in the limelight. Aside from it, he blogs about the life of an actor while in the camera and off the camera. There are also news and headlines. You will read the past events of their lives and what had happened to them.

I'm not a fan, but it fascinates me reading his blog. It's informative and it shows old films and the life of an actor and actresses in the past. What they look like during that year. One example is Annabelle Rama, as a sexy star in 1970’s.

Annabel Rama

If you want to see more of the stars photos and read about the other actors and actress in the past, you can drop by on his blog, Video 48.

Help! Creating a Badge Exchange Page

Yay, I thought it was easy for me to create a page for a lot of badges that I want to steal. Yea, steal because I don’t intend to tell the owner that I took their badge. I am excited to put their badge in my site. A playful thing for me, err … you’re not going to sue me, are you?

I used Mclinky tool but it seems there are no addition of badges aside from Red. That is why I decided to steal and hide it in one of my pages.

And oh boy, it wasn’t easy as I thought. My techie knowledge is limited and I need another brainer’ for it. *Sigh. Is there someone who can lend a hand on how to do it for free? Thank you very much!

EMO For A Week I

For a week, I log online but I don’t stay long on my blog and didn’t do the routine blog-visits/drops. I do checked my emails everyday, checked my Facebook notifications and replied them. But, most of the time, I watched Naruto’s episodes and played Plants vs. Zombies to pass the time. If I am not facing the computer, I stayed in the room; writing then trashed it and slept. These go on everyday… until I feel better. I am glad my boyfriend understand, though. He asked me what’s wrong? But I never told him.

What really happened?
First things first, I am hiding from morning until 5pm or 6pm. But, no, there’s no police but only a cat. I am like a mouse who hides from a cat, not that she’ll eat me but kicked me out if she happens to know I STAYED HERE. These happened for three days. Instead of going into the kitchen, my bf would bring me food inside the bedroom. I feel like a sick person.

Second, I still feel this emotion of what had happened with my Google Adsense, though. I received an email from adsense about my appeal last Wednesday July 28. It says,

“after thoroughly re-reviewing your account data and taking your feedback into consideration, our specialists have confirmed that we're unable to reinstate your AdSense account.”

Fine! Both, my hands are trembling, I was really angry, though. I only have an idea who the culprit was but I can not pinpoint him or her based on photos. I replied,

“Thank you Google Adsense team. Disabling my account doesn't stop me from blogging. On the other hand, I'm glad it's disabled because no more invalid click activities, anymore. A good experience is worth it for a good lesson. Goodbye!”

Third, a site that’s into micro job have not published the work I’ve done in the tab, “Tasks I’ve Finished”. It happened twice and my mistake, I did not print screen it as a proof. I tried to cancel it because some of my info’s are there.

Last, some ptc sites I am working on has turned into a scam.

All the things that happened, I took it seriously and by heart. I feel as if I am carrying a heavy burden on my shoulders.
