NDTDA: No Desire To Do Anything Syndrome + Itchiness

Yesterday, I saw this on my Facebook newsfeeds. Oh yeah! That is what I feel. I am currently suffering from NDTDA or No desire to do anything syndrome. A bad reality for me because my mind and body was exhausted. Here is the reason why:

My body is itching that I have to scratch from my head to toe. You can imagine how it feels when itchiness and scratching starts. There are little red spots spreading in my entire body and even in my face that I have to scratch it all the time. I don't know where this came from. It just pops on my arm and the itching begins. I bet it was an allergy. I did not ask for a doctor because he will only tell me to buy Citirizene. Citirizene is a medicine in a form of a small tablet for an  allergy. Even my cousin told me about it. I don't want to use it because I'll end up sleeping all day. If I took one tab, believe me, the earth in which I stand spins and made me go to sleep. I can not control the sleepiness.

Maybe, there is a possibility where my allergy came from. The cause might be the water and body wash. A few days ago, the water tank's pipe was stock up. Water cannot go through the faucet. We have to use the water from the river (as the source) for taking a bath and washing clothes. The problem lasts for three days before it is fix. The second possibility is the body wash in which I am trying for a review. Since, the itchiness has started, I have to stop using it. I'll use it again if the itchiness is gone.

For the itchiness, I have a remedy of my own.

  • Taking a bath using the water from the tank because it is fix, now.
  • Use a bath soap that is color white with no perfumes. It is my son's pediatrician doctors tell about allergies.
  • Vicks vaporub. I spread Vicks in some parts of my body where there is a red spot. I do this after bath because it gives me relief and comfort from itching. No one advice me how to use it. All I know is that I feel relieved after I rub it.
So, how about you? What made you stop to do anything? Is it an NDTDA syndrome? Please leave your comments, below.

Paincake Patrol Launches //Social Constructs

Paincake Patrol

Sharing the belief that a life worth living is defined by a purpose of your own manufacture and not by social consensus, one-man electronic music project Paincake Patrol launches his first-ever EP //Social Constructs on December 5, 2015 at Today x Future in Cubao, Quezon City.

Created in 2011 out of passion for music, Paincake Patrol is the recording project of musician Eeman Bulotano. This experimental solo project is focused on creating alternative electronic and ambient music, reflecting the artist’s experiences and views on existence in general.

“[I want to] to make music people can listen to without [them] having to ignore the person standing next to them,” says Eeman whose goal is to provide music that “makes you think, but yet somehow not [distract you] at all.”

Emotions, Experiences and Expression

The idea behind //Social Constructs and Paincake Patrols inspired and widely influenced by the very existence of ambient music as pioneered by Brian Leno during the 1980’s. Usually electronic and instrumental in nature, ambient music aims to create a perfect balance between disappearance and presence.

Though it has existed for a long time now, ambient music remains relatively unknown to the mainstream crowd as it is seen as "too smart" or "overly deep.” However, Eeman and many other ambient music artists see this type of music as simpler and more relatable compared to any other genre because it provides the chance to be freely interpreted by its listeners. This genre is powered by the experiences and emotions, not just from the one who created the music, but also by those whom the music is created for.

Songs from this genre evolve from the mere self-expression of one artist into many different stories weaved by those present in the audience. They are taken and understood in more ways than one – similar to how individuals give meaning to various things and, ultimately, to life.

Existence Defined and Redefined

Music relives one’s memories, and the entire Paincake Patrol project intends to elicit nostalgia while stimulating thought-provoking conversations. With this particular EP, the artist focused on his view of the general meaning of existence and how empty it may seem when viewed only in an objective and logical way.

Each composition is appropriately titled based heavily on how the artist views reality. Combining master beats with ethereal notes, //Social Constructs’ first three tracks aim to reflect the existential angst and loneliness one might experience when he or she has failed to see the reason behind life.

(Ee)Man behind the Music

Fascinated with weird ambient and dreamy sounds,Eeman has been recording his own music and releasing it on Sound Cloud starting 2010. He has released three LPs from 2011 to 2014. Since then, he has been featured in a few publications, such as Indienationblog and Exposed Vocals. In the Philippine Indie Rock Awards 2015, he was awarded Keyboardist of the Year through his current band, Audio Drive Thru.

Hetook the next step early this year by doing live gigs all over the metro. Six short months and several introductions to numerous people later, he is now ready to share his music more widely to the world.

Why Do I Quit Networked Blogs?

networked blogs

Networked Blogs is a tool for syndicating my blog posts automatically to Twitter and Facebook. Over the years, it helps me from manually posting my articles. But, now I quit! I deleted my blog and account in that tool. I feel it doesn't help me, anymore.

Refresh Thumbnails

I always click the button on Networked blog's dashboard to refresh the image, so the new photo of my recent post will come out. Before, if you click refresh thumbnail button, it automatically changes to a new one. Now, it won't give a budge even if you click it for 2 or 3 times, the photo will not change. For example, my article is about a press release of an event. So, I'll be using a photo of the said event in my post. When the networkedblog syndicate it, the photo of my previous post which is a Halloween mask is used. So, what's a Halloween mask doing for an event article?

Symphony

If you want to change the target of syndication like Twitter, Facebook fan page and your own Facebook profile. You can't do it anymore. It will be deleted. According to them, they had transferred the syndication to their sister company. That is Symphony. When I read it, they asked for payments.

More Findings

I googled the tool and my findings amazes me. I found a good article that tells you to quit networkedblogs immediately. "Unless, of course, you'd like to continue for your blog posts to go unseen". That's the writers' words that made me shocked. According to her, Facebook prizes manual posting than third party applications. It's a good read article.

I'm sorry for my followers and subscribers. I really have to delete it. The pictures or thumbnails used to syndicate really annoys me. I firmly believe in manual posting of my blogs.

Taking Gifting to the Next Level

Christmas is around the corner. I can see different Christmas decorations and hear Christmas songs from my neighbors. If my calculation's right, it's 44 days to go before Christmas. The questions are:

What is your Christmas wish list for yourself?

I have two Christmas wishes within myself and these are:

Alcatel Flash 2 (16GB)My cell phone is neither an android or smart phone.  I realized it's importance after I joined a bloggers event. This phone is crisp and clear when it comes to taking pictures. Then, you can easily manage photos and upload it directly on social media apps like Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, though. Wi-fi is not a problem because we have it.

Gas Stove with 2 or 3 BurnersAs a mom, I would love to cook for my family's meal and/or just practice. I'd love to cook Cebuano soup recipe such as Malunggay (Moringa oleifera) and Alugbati (Malabar Spinach) which my mom had taught me. Sad to say, I can't do it right on time because it is a hospital's kitchen. Their kitchen is busy with the hospital's meal. That's why it is very important for me to have my own gas stove. I can cook anytime, I want.

What are your Christmas gift ideas for your love ones?

When it comes to Christmas gifts, we rarely exchange, honest. My husband and I had the same idea for Christmas. Spend our time in the mall for a day. This is the best day to visit the malls because of the big discounts. Buy new clothes and new shoes for our little one instead of toys. Toys will not last longer, it will be torn to pieces in two or three days. So, it's not a good idea. Then, we let our son play for an hour in the mall's amusement booth. We are happy and satisfied when we both see our son had a great time. My husband is not hard to please. He is satisfied with black shirts and flip flops.

The day is not complete if we can not have our meals at Jollibee, my sons' favorite fast food restaurant.

How do you plan to give back to others?

To Give Back and not to expect anything in return, is one way to teach my child. I plan to give away our clothes especially my son's. I still have his newborn clothing and his stuff toys, too. Last year, I had someone who picked up the box of feeding bottles. This year, I am not sure. If it won't be pick up, then I'll drop it in the malls box for gift-giving or deliver it to a home for homeless children.

Merry Christmas! Good health, peace and harmony are the best gifts anyone can have.
