Books have the power to cross borders, carrying the voices, experiences, and cultures of those who create them. This capacity to bring people together takes center stage at the Asia Stage of the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025. From October 15 to 19, illustrators, writers, publishers, and thought leaders from across Asia will gather to share their stories, celebrate their craft, and showcase the richness and diversity of Asian literature to the world.

The National Book Development Board (NBDB) gave a warm send-off to over 100 Filipino publishers, authors, illustrators, and creatives bound for the 2025 Frankfurt Book Fair (FBM) on October 15–19, where the Philippines will take center stage as Guest of Honour (GoH).

Writing about my own life is not as easy as it sounds.

It gives me a hard time. Every time I try to write, I feel no spark at all. I sit in front of my computer with a heavy heart and a blank screen. My thoughts are there, but I can’t get them out.

I haven’t posted anything in over three months. I felt like giving up, but deep down, I didn’t want to. Aside from being my bread and butter, I still want to write. Writing is like letting go of the heavy feelings I’ve been carrying. Writing helps me breathe a little easier. Although I did write tidbits in my diary or journal - whatever you call it. Still, it is different from writing on this blog.

I like to watch movies when I have someone with me. But, when I learned about Valiant One movie, it's ecstatic. Then, I realized , hey it has been a long time - watching a movie. I have been focusing more on my life's avenues that I forgot to rest and stop to watch a movie. I am floored.

Valiant One is a thrilling action movie. It will take you on an fierce journey through the dangerous terrains of North Korea. Directed by Steve Barnett with film stars Chase Stokes and Lana Condor. It brings a mixture of valor, coaction and survival to the screen.
